Do your patrons ask you questions that have you stumped?
This ready reference course will help you with that. It will cover three main topics: a definition of reference; how to conduct a reference interview; and where to find the answer. We will also provide training on Inter-Library Loan in SDLN and WorldCat.

Who would benefit from this course?
School, academic, and public library staff

Participants will learn to:
  • Determine what types of questions their patrons are asking
  • Conduct a positive and helpful reference interview
  • Locate and use appropriate resources for finding the answers that are needed
  • Learn Inter-Library Loan processes in SDLN and WorldCat
