Developing the Skills and Resources You Need to Answer Your Patrons' Questions via WebCT

  • Time: Online Course takes approximately 1-2 hours.
Do your patrons ask you questions that have you stumped?
This basic reference course will help you with that. It will cover three main topics: a definition of reference; how to conduct a reference interview; and where to find the answer. The webinar will be presented by the State Library's Research Librarian.

Who would benefit from this course?
School, academic, and public library staff

Participants will learn to:
  • Determine what types of questions their patrons are asking
  • Conduct a positive and helpful reference interview
  • Locate and use appropriate resources for finding the answers that are needed
