Let Gale Virtual Reference Library answer tough questions

When questions such as these come to your library, reach for your nearest reference book collection—Gale Virtual Reference Library. This online subscription resource from the South Dakota State Library contains multi-volume, full-text reference books in business, education, environment, history, law, literature, medicine, nation and world, religion, science and social science.

Titles include the College Blue Book, Endangered Species, UXL Encyclopedia of World Mythology, Encyclopedia of Small Business, Dictionary of American History, Gale Encyclopedia of Everyday Law, Gale Encyclopedia of Nursing and Allied Health, Worldmark Encyclopedia of the States, World Religions Reference Library, Chemical Elements and Terrorism, to name a few.

Articles are enhanced with audio by clicking on the ReadSpeaker at the top of each article or downloading to an MP3 player. Articles can be translated into 11 languages and be read in pdf or html. Patrons can e-mail, save or print articles. Volumes within a set are just a click away.

Many patrons can access Gale Virtual Reference Library at the same time from the library or from home with barcode and password by going to http://library.sd.gov/.
