ChiltonLibrary, Mango Languages now part of State Library e-resources

Chilton Library ChiltonLibrary, the automotive repair database, and Mango Languages, the language learning database, are now part of the State Library's suite of e-resources.

ChiltonLibrary puts you and your patrons in the driver's seat for automotive repair. The easy-to-use, authoritative online manuals are updated monthly and contain repair, maintenance, specification tables, Technical Service Bulletins and recall notices. Coverage includes thousands of domestic and imported car, truck, van and SUV models from 1940-present.

mango languagesHow does a pirate say "hello"? Mango Languages offers courses in more than 60 languages, including Pirate. Whether you and your patrons need a few conversational phrases for traveling, a complete course with grammar and vocabulary, country cultural information or English language learning, Mango has it. A mobile version lets users learn on the go. Mango has just released Mango Premiere, which allows language students to learn by watching entertainment films with built-in learning components, such as pronunciation guides, quizzes, and subtitles.

Here's a reminder that Learning Express, the practice test and academic success program for fourth grade through adults, will soon have a whole new look, and an updated GED practice test is coming in 2014. Watch for more information. Patrons must complete any unfinished work in the current program and create new accounts in the new platform.

These resources are available from the Online Resources on the State Library website. They are directly available within the library and on school and academic campuses. They are available from home with barcode and password.
