Ah-choo! Allergy info for all ages

Allergy symptoms, drug commercials and prevention tips are sprouting like ragweed. With so much information floating by like pollen, it is enough to make your eyes water. Where do you turn for reliable, current information about allergies? The State Library online resources, of course.

In World Book Discover's World Book Explains Videos, a medical doctor answers the question, "Why do people have allergies?" In addition, World Book has multiple articles with further information about allergies.

Use Gale Virtual Reference Library (GVRL) to locate multi-page articles on allergies, their treatment and more. GVRL provides access to updated medical reference encyclopedias. The newest Gale Encyclopedia of Nursing and Allied Health will be available in June.

Want to locate information about the latest trends in allergy treatment? ProQuest provides scholarly articles from journals such as Journal of Community Nursing and popular articles from magazines such as Good Housekeeping.

Check out these resources and other resources on the State Library Online Resources. Gesundheit!
