Welcome, TumbleBookLibrary

tumble book library logoThe South Dakota State Library is pleased to announce the addition of TumbleBookLibrary to all public libraries in South Dakota. School communities may use this resource for recreational use; the resource may not be used for instructional purposes.

TumbleBookLibrary provides access to animated, talking picture books for grades K-3, as well as read-along chapter books, National Geographic videos, non-fiction books, puzzles and games. All books have Lexile and AR levels, along with grade levels, which support Read! SD.

The quickest, easiest way to access your TumbleBookLibrary collection is by copying and pasting this direct link on your website:

Promote TumbleBookLibrary using these downloadable bookmarks and logos:

TumbleBookLibrary is available from home and is mobile friendly! For mobile users (iPad, iPhone and Android) or any device that does not support Flash, TumbleBookLibrary will automatically redirect to the "iPad& Mobile Device" site when you log in. If you are not automatically redirected, simply choose "Mobile" from the drop down menu at the top right corner and click "Go."

Continue E-resource promotion to patrons

This simple idea comes from the Allegheny County Library Association blog, "The Virtual Lexicon." The librarian tries to connect the patron's interest or request with what can be found in a subscription database. "Recently I set a new goal for myself -- I'm trying to mention at least one Library eResource during every readers' advisory interaction."
