Seeds for Education Grant

Deadline: October 15

The Seeds for Education Grant Program gives small monetary grants up to $500 to schools, libraries, nature centers, and other non-profit and not-for-profit places of learning in the United States with a site available for a stewardship project. Projects should include youth engagement in the planning, use of native plants, and hands-on educational activities. For more information:


Margaret Edwards Collection Development Grant

Deadline: November 1

This $5000 grant is for improving or expanding a library's teen collection including print or digital materials. Personal YALSA members from school or public libraries are eligible to apply. Grant application:


Innovative Reading Grant

Deadline: February 1, 2015

This Capstone sponsored $2500 grant supports the planning and implementation of innovation reading programs for children. AASL members working with kindergarten through ninth grade in a school library may apply for this grant. Continue to for more information.
