New Computer Skills Center and More Added To Learning Express Library

Learning Express Library's newest module, the Computer Skills Center, helps patrons become computer savvy. The Computer Skills Center contains video instruction about computer basics; Internet basics, including email and social media tools; Microsoft Office, including several versions of Word, Excel, and Access; Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop and computer operating systems. The more-than 100 self-paced tutorials cover beginner to advanced levels.

The College Center now contains practice tests for the new MCAT 2015 for your patrons heading to medical school.

A new ebook series, Mastering Workplace Skills, and new GED test prep in English and Spanish will help patrons improve their lives.

To use Learning Express Library, each user must create an account. Then users select the test or course they want and begin.

SIRS Discoverer Gets a Makeover

SIRS Discoverer, the full-text article e-resource for grades K-8, has a new look. The interface is now mobile friendly and more intuitive than before. Enhanced searching allows you to narrow by grade, Lexile, and format easily. The same solid content and special features make this a great tool for young people's research or recreational reading.

SIRS Discoverer now mobile ready

These and other e-resources are available from the Online Resources tab on the State Library website. They are directly available within the library and on school and academic campuses and available away from the library with barcode and password.
