Electronic Resources Challenge, winter 2015, starts soon

electronic resources challenge program

Back by popular demand, the self-paced online Electronic Resources Challenge 2015 will run from Jan. 26 - April 13, 2015.

Basic, Advanced and Common Core Connections options are offered, with contact hour credit available. This Challenge has something for beginners, trustees, veteran Challengers and school personnel, with contact hours for each option. See more at

Previous Challenge participants said:

"Can I take the Electronic Resources Challenge again?"

"How do the electronic resources fit with Common Core?"

"My biggest discovery during this project was how many resources are available for me to use in my classroom"

"Overall, this was such a wonderful learning experience. I had no idea that the State Library provided ready-made handouts on these resources for our patrons - easy to print out and have available. I would encourage all SD librarians to take advantage of this experience; there is so much to learn."

Encourage your staff and trustees to take part. We hope you will join us. Contact Julie Erickson, email, or Jane Healy, email, if you have questions.

Jump Start 2015

Every Hero Has A Story summer reading theme for 2015

Join librarians from your area as we gear up for "Every Hero Has a Story" - the 2015 summer reading program from CSLP. Choose from one of 8 workshops that will be hosted and led by local librarians! Each library will receive one kit of sample activities that will be demonstrated by your workshop leader. You are also required to bring a sample activity of your own to show at your workshop (you do not need to bring materials for everyone).
