Back to school, back to business

Students are heading back to school and we are all getting back to the business of our fall routines. There's no better time to brush up on the subscription electronic resources provided to all citizens of the state at no charge.

A glance at the "puzzle map" will remind you that the State Library electronic resources include full-text magazines, journals, encyclopedias, and books; practice tests, language learning; auto repair, and genealogy.

You know that the State Library electronic resources have special features, but what's where? Which electronic resource is best for which purpose or age group? Keep this Quick Guide [PDF] handy to answer questions in a flash.

Stay current with the electronic resources by taking vendor webinars. Staff, trustees, patrons and students may register and participate. See the event calendar on the State Library website for dates and times.

More support materials are only a few clicks away. To find them, click Online Resources, choose a category and then click the information icon icon next to the resource description. You will find "SDSL Libraries' Guides" for a refresher or patron guide, as well as vendor-created videos and documents.
