What does my library card do for me?
As a citizen of South Dakota, your library card will allow you access to State Library electronic resources. Electronic resources do include Genealogy databases and research articles.

How do I get a library card?
Fill out the form below and click on the submit button. Your request will be processed as soon as it is received.

What is my password for at home access?
Your password is your last name (e.g. Smith).

What can I find in the databases?
You can find full text magazines, South Dakota newspapers, genealogy information, practice tests, and online books.

Where can I access the databases?
You can access the databases from inside any school, library or academic institution in SD, or at home with a SDLN member library card or a SD State Library card. A full listing of the databases can be found at http://www.sdstatelibrary.com/databases/complete.htm.
