- What does my library card do for me?
- As an employee of South Dakota State Government, your library card will allow you to check out work-related materials, access electronic resources, and request research help including Census data, statistical data, and any other work-related research.
- How do I get a library card?
- Fill out the form below and click on the submit button. Your request will be processed as soon as it is received.
- What is my password for at home access?
- Your password is your last name (e.g. Smith).
- What can I find in the databases?
- You can find full text magazines, South Dakota newspapers, genealogy information, practice tests, and online books.
- Where can I access the databases?
- You can access most of the databases from your state computer, any school, library or academic institution in SD, or at home with a SDLN member library card or a SD State Library card. Several of the databases, although not accessible from home or library, are accessible from state campus PCs. A full listing of the databases can be found at http://www.sdstatelibrary.com/databases/complete.htm.
