| News: Ann Eichinger Retires
Feb. 4, 2006 PIERRE, S.D. - A familiar face is missing at the South Dakota State Library. Ann Eichinger has retired after working at the South Dakota State Library since December 31, 1974. Many of you know Ann as the Head of Access Services and as a tireless worker in the migration process from SDLN PALS to SDLN Aleph (OPAC patron access, Kid's Cat, and ILL were all under her wing). Over the many years that Ann has worked for the State Library, she also served as Film Librarian, Inter-Library Loan Librarian, Reference Librarian, and Documents/Government Publications Librarian. Her contributions have been of great assistance as the State Library moved into the age of databases. |

Ann's last day of work at the State Library is past but her contributions will live on into the future. We wish Ann the best of luck in the future and many happy travels.
