SD facts & stats contains hyperlinks to factual and statistical information about the state of South Dakota. It is intended to be an online "almanac" of South Dakota information.

Statistical information is organized based on the the geographical level of the statistics:
- "State statistics" has hyperlinks to state-level statistics on topics from agriculture to wildlife
- "State ranking & profiles" has hyperlinks to state-level statistics
- that rank SD among all 50 states and
- that collect statistics relating to topics (such as children or crops) and provide a statistical "profile" in that topical area
- "County statistics" has hyperlinks to county-level statistics on topics from business to traffic safety
