Participants must apply for admission before they can enroll in the course.

Description: In this six-day workshop, participants will learn how to implement teen services, create programming ideas and discover many collection development opportunities available. They will study the teenage brain and learn where to find validated information with available sources. The workshop will include a series of projects, activities and discussions and will conclude with a final exam. In this six-day workshop, participants will learn the components that are necessary to manage an efficient and effective library.

Prerequisites: None

Computer Skills: Students should know how to use Microsoft Word and should know the basics of how to use internet, research databases and other print resources as designated by instructors.

Grading: Participating student will receive a pass/fail grade.

Instructional Methodologies: Various articles, websites, lectures, class discussions and small group discussion will be used.

Printouts (Textbook) and other references: A variety of articles and web applications will be used to enhance lectures and group activities.
