About

This two-week course is an introduction to digital resources or databases provided by South Dakota State Library. Designed for new library staff, and any other SD library staff that would like to take a refresher course on the SDSL databases.

Objective

By the end of this course, students will be able to

  • Access the SDSL databases
  • Understand the different types of databases SDSL provides
  • Find technical help, training, and marketing materials for the SDSL databases

Requirements

Students must have access to a computer and an internet connection. Students must register through the South Dakota State Library before completing this course.

This class will take place on the Google Classroom platform. You will need to provide a valid Gmail address that you can use to log in and access the Google Classroom.

Course Credit

4 continuing education contact hours can be earned for completing this course.

It is the student's responsibility to keep your certificate and submit it to the DOE office when submitting renewal applications.
