South Dakota librarians awarded certification

PIERRE, S.D. — The State Library has awarded certification to 12 librarians from nine libraries across South Dakota. The voluntary certification program recognizes library directors and staff members who have met the certification standards. The program's goals are to help library directors and staff acquire, sustain, and develop skills through continuing education in order to provide better services to their communities. Through this program, the State Library acknowledges public library directors and staff who update their knowledge and skills on a continuing basis. Further information about the certification process can be found at libguides.library.sd.gov .
