South Dakota librarians awarded certification
PIERRE, S.D. — The State Library awarded certification to 38 librarians from 27 libraries at the annual South Dakota Library Association conference on September 26 in Aberdeen, South Dakota. The voluntary certification program recognizes library directors and staff who have met the certification standards.
The certification program's goals are to encourage library workers to develop and sustain skills through continuing education to provide better services to their communities. Through this program, the State Library acknowledges public and academic library directors and staff who update their knowledge and skills on a continuing basis.
